Salt Lake City

Salt Lake City (population ~220,000) is the gateway to the Wasatch Front climbing corridor — a chain of canyon crags running 60 miles along the mountains immediately east and south of the city. The Beckey Route at Storm Mountain is 30 minutes from downtown. American Fork Canyon is 40 minutes. The city has world-class dining, full hotel infrastructure, SLC International Airport, and car rental at the terminal. It is the most logistically convenient base for Utah climbing of any kind.
