Moab
Moab is the hub for southeastern Utah climbing — a small desert town (population ~5,500) at 1,200m on the Colorado River with access to Indian Creek crack climbing, Castleton Tower, Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, and dozens of roadside sport crags. The town has good restaurants, reliable gear shops, and enough lodging to handle the peak spring and fall crowds that descend every year. Every Utah desert climbing trip starts and ends in Moab.
