American Fork
American Fork (population ~35,000) is a Utah Valley suburb 45km south of Salt Lake City and 5 minutes from American Fork Canyon — Utah's premier limestone sport climbing destination. The city itself has standard suburban services: grocery stores, gas stations, chain hotels, and enough restaurants for a comfortable climbing basecamp. The combination of proximity to the canyon, highway access from SLC, and affordable lodging makes American Fork the most efficient base for anyone focused on the canyon's bolted limestone routes.
